My Aching Head runs a bicycle coffee tour around Melbourne 3 days a week. (Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.)

Get off the beaten track and explore some of Melbourne’s best cafes and experience Third Wave Coffee at it’s finest. This leisurely ride (only very gentle hills) takes in the CBD, South Melbourne and Prahran.

Each of the tours takes in a number of roasting houses and laneway cafes where you can sample any number of single origin coffees and different brewing methods.

There are 2 options.

Intro to Melbourne – 2 hours

Leaving at 10am Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from Federation Square it is the easiest of the tours. Avoiding the traffic of the CBD it takes in a quiet ride through the botanical gardens, 3 cafes and only a few kilometres of cycling it is the perfect introduction to Melbourne coffee culture. Choose to return back to the city, or leave your bike at the final cafe and explore the nearby market. Cost: $70

Coffee Geek Tour – 3-4 hours

Starting with the intro to Melbourne tour this tour then turns further afield. A ride back through the CBD and to Carlton and Collingwood to more of Melbourne’s highly regarded cafes. 5 or 6 coffees in 1 day is a lot, but when it’s this good. It is worth it. Cost: $120
