I used to stay at the hotel when it was Gunn Island, and enjoyed the pub and outdoor seating on many occasion when visiting from SA or overseas. The accommodations were on the rough side as it leaned more toward the hostel side, whilst just fine, and for that reason alone delightful. The same goes for the ambiance of the original cafe/pub environment and menu - simple yet satisfying Indeed.
